The January 2018 Edition of “The Chirp”, the official Sparrow’s Nest newsletter, features an inspirational note from founder Krista Jones.
According to national research, this week is the saddest week of the year. It is considered the most stressful week because it is normally the week all our bills come in from holiday shopping. Couple that with freezing temps, snow and darker days and you could have a really miserable seven days.
Research also shows doing something nice for someone else to helps you experience an exuberant amount of joy. Here at Sparrow’s Nest, we have plenty of things you can do to find happiness. With our recent expansion, we are in need of drivers in the Kingston area, Middletown area and throughout Putnam County. We have cooking shifts available on Monday night making dessert. We are always looking to brighten our recipient’s day and would be grateful for any feel good bags that come our way. Want to help out financially? Contact us to see how far your donor dollars go, or live even more boldly and sign up for one of our informational destination run meetings to learn how you can feed a family for a year. It might be the saddest week of the year for some, but we have plenty of good work that you can do to get you out of the funk.
Here are some other highlights:
- Starting in April, we’ll be growing our delivery radius to 35 miles to include Kingston, Middletown, and all of Putnam County.
- Join our “Sea of Green” and become a Sparrow’s Nest Runner! Attend one of our upcoming info meetings.
- We are very proud of our newest video, produced by Talex Media and supported by Bayhorse Gazebos & Barns and Cleveland Plumbing & Heating.
