​Receiving a cancer diagnosis changes everything. Sparrow's Nest supports individuals and families with nutritious, home-cooked meals- so food is never one more worry during treatment.
It was such a relief to have one less thing to think about during that time. Plus, they were so thoughtful and went above and beyond the weekly meals – in the summer months when the kids were off they sent camp meals, snacks and activities. On holidays they sent lots of extras and uplifting goodies for the whole family. My treatment was long – chemo, radiation, surgery, more chemo, another surgery – and Sparrow’s Nest fed our family through all of it.

When I had chemo, I wasn't hungry and I couldn't eat anything, so the idea of touching food was not in my bandwidth. Just having food being delivered every week.... just makes you feel cared for. And it helps immensely because there's enough for leftovers....
